Hello Resident, Following our investigation, six men have been sentenced in relation to a violent dangerous driving incident and an affray in Oxford. One of the men was jailed after repeatedly running over a victim with his car having also been involved in a fight with a large group earlier that day. The dangerous driving victim suffered a broken leg, as well as ongoing mental health issues, while another man was left with facial injuries from the affray, for which four men have been sentenced. Meanwhile, two other men were also sentenced for carrying offensive weapons in the city around the same time as the deliberate attack with the car. We will never tolerate such offending as it puts those involved and the general public at greater risk of suffering serious harm. We will be relentless in our pursuit of those involved in serious violence and we are working tirelessly with our partners to protect our communities.
